About Catherine
Catherine Cahill is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. She has expertise in the treatment of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Prolonged/Complicated Grief and Mood Disorders. She is also a workshop training and facilitator in CBT for Trauma and Grief and has worked with many organisations throughout her career, in order to help them implement cutting edge treatments for these disorders.
Catherine worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Westmead Hospital's Traumatic Stress Clinic http://www.traumaticstressclinic.com/staff.html for eleven years. She has been a honorary fellow of the University of New South Wales' School of Psychology. She is registered with Medicare and is a member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society
She has full registration and endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist in NSW and supervises psychologists regularly in the treatment of trauma and grief.
She is a guest lecturer at the HETI (NSW Institute of Psychiatry), Western Sydney University and the University of Technology, Sydney and regularly presents to organisations such as the APS. She also provides psychological services under the Psychological Support Services scheme ( formerly known as ATAPS).
